چکیده
Abstract Pulping of rice straw was studied using mild nitric acid in conditions. Spent chosen as soil nutrient rather than followed by the liquor recovery. The treated with 11.03% at 90 °C for 3 h, yielded 53.09% pulp. Nitric pulp had high residual lignin and minerals. However, further treatment 7% potassium hydroxide reduced produced kappa number 20.36. papermaking properties KOH showed better quality spent reused repeatedly, yield decreased content increased each step reusing. liquor-mixed together to get a neutral effluent which rich potassium, nitrogen biomass. nutritional capacity assessed incubation control soil. labile form organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorous iron incubated

Chemical Composition, Physical Characteristics, Rumen Degradability of NDF and NDF Fractionation in Rice Straw as an Effective Fibre in Ruminants
In order to determine of physical characteristics of rice straw as an effective source of fiber in ruminants, alfalfa hay, four varieties of rice straw (Taroum Neda, Taroum Neamat, Taroum Sangi, and Asgari), and four rations that contained four varieties of rice straws were investigated. The chemical (dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), nonfiber carbohydrates (N...
متن کاملButyric acid fermentation of sodium hydroxide pretreated rice straw with undefined mixed culture.
This study describes an alternative mixed culture fermentation technology to anaerobically convert lignocellulosic biomass into butyric acid, a valuable product with wide application, without supplementary cellulolytic enzymes. Rice straw was soaked in 1% NaOH solution to increase digestibility. Among the tested pretreatment conditions, soaking rice straw at 50°C for 72 h removed ~66% of the li...
متن کاملDynamics of Potassium Release and Adsorption on Rice Straw Residue
Straw application can not only increase crop yields, improve soil structure and enrich soil fertility, but can also enhance water and nutrient retention. The aim of this study was to ascertain the relationships between straw decomposition and the release-adsorption processes of K(+). This study increases the understanding of the roles played by agricultural crop residues in the soil environment...
متن کاملKinetic Study of Acid Hydrolysis of Rice Straw
Rice straw is a renewable, cheap, and abundant waste in tropical countries. The pentose content of rice straw can be used as a substrate for many types of value-added products such as xylitol and biofuel. Dilute acid hydrolysis mainly releases pentose from rice straw. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of H2SO4 concentration and reaction time on the xylose production. The va...
متن کاملAmmonium Hydroxide Treatment of Wheat Straw
Chopped wheat straw, containing increasing amounts of added water was treated with a constant level of ammonia (3.3 percent of straw dry matter) as ammonium hydroxide, and stored for I to 60 days before determing in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVD MD), nitrogen content and fiber-bound nitrogen (ADF-N) versus free ammonia nitrogen (NH3N) of the treated sample. The overall improvement (e.g., ...
